I was to conduct an investigation, concerning a high rank officer who uses company’s facilities to enrich himself. This officer was an informant to the chairman of the company and he had used this privilege to oppress other workers. It would be a thing of joy to other workers seeing him fired for this unrighteous act, because, he is wicked.

On many occasions, he had tried to implicate me, for no cause — however, the Lord had always vindicated me. I prayed for God’s directive that night. At exactly 1a.m that night, I received a phone call; it was one of our Pastors, who knew nothing about what was troubling me. He told me to read from the book of Isaiah 41verse10 to 13, which reads,

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

“Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

“Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

This phone call came at the right time and it answered my prayer. The following morning, I went conducting the investigation with boldness and confidence and it turned out perfect. He was relegated. The above quotation works for every child of God, who allowed God to fight its battle.

When David faced Goliath, he did not depend on any strength or weapon, but on the God of Israel. He said

“Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied” (1Sam.17:45)

When God fights your battle, He does not need your contribution except for your obedience and reverence to His Holy name. The Lord fights with unusual weapon – angels, thunder, confusion, earthquake, hail, fire, water, sound etc. what He will use to fight your own battle will be different from another person. That is our God in action.

When circumstances looked most hopeless, cry out to the Lord in repentance, and He will deliver you. King Jehoshaphat’s war with the three relative nations (Moab, Ammon and Edom) he cried unto the Lord and He delivered him.

Avenge not for yourself (Rom. 12:17-21) — Joseph did not avenge for himself (Gen. 45:3-8). Sometimes, your battle may be for good and if you fight it by yourself, you ruin the plan of God for your life (Rom. 8:28).

When you are faced with unbearable situation, if you put your trust in God, cry unto Him for help, He will answer, because, He takes over the battle. Hope in the Lord, do not fear or be dismayed – but be patient and full of faith while praising the Lord. No human or spiritual army would prevail over God’s omnipotence.
