Human being is loose, and most of the time is not mindful of his moments. His thoughts are spontaneously and carelessly discharged in their utterances and/or actions, which are made without conscience, and without being mindful of the consequences which follow. Most of the time, the consequences are negative.

However, when we retain God in our knowledge, He sees us and act appropriately in our favor. To the almighty God, there is nothing hidden neither there will be anything unhidden. Our God sees and know all things because he is Omnipresent. Only a fool who says there is no God would ever think that his or her deeds will not be unveiled or seen.

Can you imagine how many people would think like Joseph in the face of free adultery, he said “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” when he knew no one was watching him. But he knew God was watching him and that sin against his master is sin against God. Or

Imagine how many people would want to cover their sin as Adam did before his Creator, who said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself”. Many people would go with the later to avoid reproach but would prefer to go to hell fire.

Our conscience echoes these two scenarios each time we want to utter or act. Be careful before you make any move. Every thought can be changed as long as no utterance or action has been taken. Once it is done, it can never be undone. The moment action or utterance backs a thought, it becomes a broken egg which cannot be put together anymore, and it spills and spread.

What you say or do when no one sees you is crystal clear to the Creator. God knows our thought; He’s present in our secret conversation. He unveiled David’s secret adultery with Bathsheba.

God knows our thought

Before Cain killed his brother Abel, while Cain was conceiving this evil, God already knows his intent. God warned him and said,

“Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.” (Gen.4:6).

When Cain finally executes his plot, God knows and sees every action. Then God said, “The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground” (Gen. 4:10). Can anyone hide anything from God?

A woman once said, “I get whatever I want and get away with anything”. But she forgets that every utterance and action speaks before God. He sees you, He knows you and He will reward accordingly. As He warns Cain, God’s presence in our conscience is warning us in this age where self-will and ideology dominates our thought as against the will of God.

God is present in every secret conversation

Nathanael heard about the good news of the Messiah from Philip, he did not believe he would come from Nazareth. Philip said to him to come and see. The Bible says

“Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee” (Jn. 1: 47-48).

Wherever you may be, His presence is there. He knows your in and out; your stature and your weight; your physical structure and your spiritual level; your beginning and your end. He describes you better than yourself.

In another situation, in the days of the kings of Israel, the king of Syria,  Ben-hadad made war with the king of Israel. Every plan of Ben-hadad was frustrated by Elisha, who never left Israel. Ben-hadad suspected some of his servants to be spies; the Bible says,

“And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber”. (2ki. 6:12)

Every secret conversation made in the dark, in the bunker or in your bedroom is in the open clearly to God. Aaron and Miriam, behind close door despised Moses; however, the Lord heard their secret conversation. You cannot close door behind God, He sees, hears and He is present everywhere.

Whatever a person does must be handled carefully because the Creator of the universe who created the eye, ear and the heart would definitely know everything.

Christians are advised to live under the usher of the Holy Spirit. We cannot claim to be ignorant of this fact or else our Christianity will be shambled. Whatever we say spread like fire for eternity and whatever we do leaves a mark to be seen for eternity. They cannot be hidden. By what we say or do, people label us, how much more when God sees us; it will live after us and goes before us to judgment.

This I will advise Christians, let holy things be said and holy things be done; it edifies you and edifies our God who sees and always present. What we say or do must reflect the sovereignty of our God. Every secret thought, utterance and action will speak for or against us in judgment.
