In every works of life, no success was achieved without passing through some failure times. The popular names or heroes we have heard or learned about did not become who they were one day, but haven passed through some hard times and not giving up was the difference.

I want to encourage all Christians that failure is one of the unavoidable processes of success. It is not every time that we run into obstacles or difficulties that we quickly assumed that it is because we were not spiritually or physically prepared. We all planned and wish to be successful in some of embankments in life; or many wish to fulfill their goals, dreams, vision, prophesies and wanting success to become reality in their lives. However, many successes happened at the appointed time.

We have seen many who were dropouts in school and later became one of those who have one of the most brilliant ideas in our society. Some went back to school to try again; some changed courses; many are better in practical than theory; and so on. Rerouting the course of life for better is not a delay, but a process that has to be taken to get better if that is the choice before us. If one failed the first attempt in any embankment, should that be end of it, should one stop the process without taking another chance?

The Bible says,

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again:” (Pro.24:16)

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand” (Ps 37:24-25).

As Christians, we are grafted into the righteous of our Lord Jesus Christ, if we fall one time, if we don’t give up, He will uphold us and we will rise again.

Does it mean you have not planned well? Or that you have not prayed enough? No. God promised us victory and that we shall prosper in whatever we lay our hands to do. God stands by his promise; however, we need to play our own part; by pushing more and to continue without faint. God will give victory or success at the appropriate time.

Despite the fact that you failed, you have to be hopeful in a final success. When you have faith and hope in God, He has reason to act on your behalf.

God’s sovereignty is over nations, people as well as being over the activities of man. As Christians, we need to apply God’s wisdom to our activities. Most successful men on earth applied these biblical principles to their businesses before they were successful. You will not know because no rich or wealthy person will tell you the secret of his success because you will later become their competitor.

Is it bad to get advice? No. But the bible says we should test all spirits. You can build on any advice; however, you have a peculiar and a unique strategy which is personal, endowed you by God. You have to ask this from God who is the one who can give it to you. If any man has it, he won’t release it because he knows that it would be beneficiary to him. That was why the bible says,

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” (Jas. 1:5-8).

Do not ever think that God is interested in your failure, but summon courage like He advice Joshua, pursue again and again. Only in God you can do valiantly and succeed.

Are you a Christian who is presently experiencing difficulties in your journey of life? It may be probably you lean on man’s wisdom or help from man. Lean on God and hope in Him; His dramatic help is on the way. He will provide you with strength, power, means and strategy to be successful. You will overcome your failure and never to fail again.
